I'm the original owner of this 706Mk2G. I owned it for 12 years and it was used as a mobile rig most of the time. I rarely used on the HF bands. When it was possible, I always transmitted low power on 2 meters and 70 centimeters. I ran some test in my radio shop and printed the results. Using my Mobile Station Test Set, I check receiver sensitivity and transmit power. The worse case frequency drift on 430 MHz is 48 Hz (see test set print-outs). It includes the CR-282 high stability oscillator, a brand new power cord, the original box, microphone and accessory bag that was never opened.
